Gocek sailing routes are among the most remarkable maritime experiences in Turkey, combining the natural beauty of the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. With more than 8,000 km of coastline and three seas surrounding the country, Turkey offers a unique blend of ancient history and modern lifestyle. Its southwest coastline is considered one of the most stunning regions in the world.
Nestled in a sheltered bay surrounded by pine forests, Gocek is a small yet tranquil yachting town. When you charter a yacht from Gocek, your holiday begins almost immediately—just 20 minutes after leaving Dalaman Airport. The region offers breathtaking scenery, crystal-clear waters and serene anchorages.
You can start your Blue Cruise from Gocek, or choose Bodrum, Marmaris or Fethiye as alternative departure points. Marinas offer all essential services such as showers, WC, water and ice, while nearby markets provide yacht-delivery services. A representative from Blues Yachting will greet you upon arrival, assist with check-in and introduce your yacht. You may begin your holiday with a delightful dinner at Blue Restaurant.
The sailing season lasts from April to November. By mid-May, sea temperatures rise, and June is often considered the best month due to pleasant temperatures and ideal winds. July and August are hot, while September offers conditions similar to June. Despite occasional rain, October still provides warm temperatures around 19°C and comfortable sea conditions.
The prevailing wind in the region is the Northwest wind, while the wind shifts westerly as you approach Gokova or Datca Gulf. The Meltemi typically begins around 11:00 and reaches force 4–5 in the afternoon. At night, the wind calms down, ensuring a peaceful rest. Throughout the entire season, sailing conditions remain consistently favorable.
