For those who prefer to steer their own, we can
help you find the yacht of your preference. Just
tell us your ideal boat dimensions and whether
you wish to join a flotilla group or travel by
yourself - we will then advise you on
availability, price and ports.
In order to skipper a bareboat, you will require
a skipper's licence and this should be produced
upon request. If you are not a licensed skipper,
you can still hire a bareboat, and we will
organise a qualified charter skipper to
accompany you. Joining a flotilla can be a lot
of fun, and you have an expert to help out if
you get into any difficulty. Should you wish to
cruise alone, it is possible to leave and rejoin
our flotillas as you like.
You can get on board from Kusadasi to Antalya in
any port, still Gocek is the best due to closest
harbour to the Dalaman Internatioanal Airport.
The great advantage of bareboat sailing is that
you can go where you will, when you will, and
from beginning to end there
are no set schedules, routines or routes. There
are no mandatory stopping places and
pre-organised restaurants. You are free to go as
the mood and help of our knowledgeable base
staff and comprehensive pre-cruise literature.
From Gocek, Bodrum and Sogut you have immediate
access to probably the best cruising ground in
the Mediterranean. There are large Gulfs, well
indented with anchorages, little villages and
simple restaurants with delicious food and some
with lively entertainment.
Those who have sailed these waters before will
know that there are new anchorages to savour,
old favorites to revisit and new routes to sail.
For those new to the area we give some suggested
routes and distances. These are only a few of
the many possibilities for short leisurely
cruises or more extensive sailing.
